Our latest installment of American Songbook features one of our absolute favorite poets — and a gifted musician and songwriter — Cornelius Eady, with his former band Swamp Rose.
Eady (pictured here with collaborators Bernie Heveron and Ms. Carol Heveron) is currently Miller Family Chair and Professor of English and Theater at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is co-founder of the Cave Canem workshop and the author of eight books of poetry. His chapbook/CD ASKING FOR THE MOON is forthcoming from Red Glass Books.
Hear Eady and Swamp Rose perform “A Poor Boy’s Tune,” “Love Love Love,” and “Sleep, Brother, Sleep.”
