I am a Hannibal, Missouri artist. The focus of my paintings is the beautifully rich and diverse Mississippi River Valley from St. Paul to New Orleans.
I am passionate about painting on location and participating in plein air events.
Most of my work is in watercolor but I also paint in oils, acrylics, pen and ink and oil pastels. I have participated in the arts as an art instructor, corporate art consultant, gallery and frame shop owner and professional artist. Currently I run the Mississippi River Gallery located in downtown Hannibal, Missouri.
I am a member of the Hannibal Arts Council Board of Directors and an associate member of the American Watercolor Society. My Bachelor’s degree is in art from Southern Adventist University and I have a Master’s in Organizational Behavior from Benedictive University.
I share a space in the historic 1849 Planters Barn Theater with my husband, actor Richard Garey, who performs the live show, ‘Mark Twain HIMSELF’ from May through October.
