
The museum of americana congratulates its Poetry Co-Editor, Curtis L. Crisler, on being named the Indiana Poet Laureate. This prestigious honor recognizes Crisler’s outstanding contributions to the world of literature.
Crisler was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. He is an award-winning poet/author and has a new book called Doing Drive-bys on How to Love in the Midwest. He has six poetry books, two YA books, and five poetry chapbooks. He’s been published in a variety of magazines, journals, and anthologies. He’s the museum’s co-editor of poetry. He created the Indiana Chitlin Circuit and the poetry form called the sonastic. He is also a Professor of English at Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW). He can be contacted at www.poetcrisler.com.
Founded on the belief that every aspect of Americana, whether challenging or celebratory, deserves examination, the museum serves as a vital space for literary exploration. The museum of americana publishes three issues annually, in the winter, summer, and fall, and Americana Stories, a weekly feature of poetry and prose, reflecting its dedication to bringing fresh perspectives on the diverse layers of American life.
